ELx = EL * (Vx / Vr)2 * (Fr / Fx)

Where:

 

 ELx                = Calculated equivalent length of fitting
 EL                = Nominal equivalent length of fitting
 Vx                = Velocity of current duct
 Vr                = Reference velocity of fitting
 Fr                = Reference friction rate per 100 ft. of fitting
 Fx                = Friction rate of per 100 ft. of current duct
